The German Business Association in Kenya (GBA) wishes to reassure members that we remain available during the time of COVID-19 restrictions. This also refers to the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa (AHK Eastern Africa) as well as the commercial entity AHK Services Eastern Africa Ltd. However, in good conscience and in line with the directives of the Kenyan government concerning international travel and public safety, we have restructured our working procedure to reduce risks.
Unfortunately, many of our upcoming events have been cancelled or are being postponed to follow the regulations by the Kenyan government to allow for ample time for control of the spread of the virus. Affected parties have been swiftly communicated to and will be alerted of new dates in due time. The business services offered by AHK are still available, especially those including research, market studies, business partner searches and the like. Should you require our support in a relevant capacity, please do not hesitate to reach out to us using the contact information below or known direct contacts:

The German Business Association in Kenya (GBA) has conducted its 3rd Business Speed Dating for its members at the InterContinental Hotel on Wednesday 29th January, 2020. The event attracted a variety of participants consisting of legal representatives, TVET experts, sales officials, founders, finance experts, senior managers and various other business experts. In this very interactive format, participants are given four minutes “one on one” to introduce their organizations and their products or services before a bell is rung for them to rotate.
The speed dating events are well received by GBA members as a creative, and fun, way to network without the usual social anxieties or time pressures that accompany networking events. Also, members get to speak to people they would probably not automatically approach without knowing them. This event was followed up by the first Stammtisch of the year, at the Makuti Bar at the InterContinental Hotel where the networking continued.
GBA will definitely continue with more such events in the future - every member is invited to try tour this format.
