SECPROTEC East Africa 2014

As East and Central Africa’s leading trade fair for the security and protection industry, SECPROTEC East Africa, will take place at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC), Nairobi, Kenya on the 20th – 22nd August 2014.

The organizers expect to host 60 exhibitors and 3.000 trade visitors from governments, institutions and private companies.

East Africa’s security market is characterised by a high growth rate, which can be seen as analogous to the EAC overall economic performance of an average growth of 5,9 % over the last 10 years. This opens many opportunities for international manufacturers of security equipment.

International organizations, embassies, government bodies, NGOs, major enterprises, banks and media as well as middle and upper class society together with expatriates comprise the potential target group for security companies. Nairobi is considered as a hub for international organisations, e. g. some bodies of the United Nations are located here. Further important business importunities in this sector include the protection of cash in transit and the electronic location of vehicles. The importance of biometric systems is expected to increase significantly.

Africa and in particular Kenya harbour a rapidly growing working age population. This demographic powerhouse is ready to absorb those 85 million manufacturing jobs that are expected to leave Asia within the next 10 years. The foundation for further economic success will be the ability to provide security to individuals, companies and investors.          SECPROTEC will place you close to the pulse beat of these developments.
